Finding your niche will be a lot of work. The first thing you must think about is what topic you want to cover. Although you may have a good idea what that topic is going to be, you MUST research it. Before pouring hours and hours of time into your web site, it would be good to know that there are thousands of people around the world looking for information you are providing. Remember, the majority of people who surf the internet are looking for INFORMATION INFORMATION INFORMATION and not for a product.

In order to have a successful site, you must have information that satisfy your targeted visitors. YOU are the expert on the subject. Your content must influence your readers so that they will want to click on your links, buy your products and recommend you to others. If your content is great, your visitors will bookmark the page and follow your updates.

What we are going to do next is look up possible keywords for your site. We will examine how many hits they recieve per day and what the competition is like for your main keywords. Perhaps your topic is too large. Maybe there is too much competition. Or, perhaps you will find a better keyword that describes the topics you want to cover, and has less competition.

Use the following free online tutorials we provide to find out if building a website is what you want to do. Before even starting a website, you must be sure that you have enough time to devote to website building. It is a lot of work. Finding your niche may take from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. Don’t worry. That’s normal depending on how much time you can devote to building your web site.
